Name and Purpose
Section I.
This organization shall be known
as the College of Charleston Marketing Club.
Section II.
The purpose of this organization
shall be to effectively promote the fundamentals of Marketing
as a field of study, profession, and as means of presenting
oneself to the student body, faculty, and surrounding
community.

II. |
Membership
Section I.
Membership in this organization
is limited to students attending the College of Charleston and
those interested in expanding their personal marketing skills
and experience.
Section II.
An open enrollment process
approved by the elected officers shall elect members.

III. |
Officers and
Duties
Section I.
The elected officers of this
organization shall be the President, Vice President,
Treasurer, Secretary, and Board of Directors.
Section II.
The duties of the officers shall
be: President- to oversee the general functions and
operations of the organization, serve as the leading
spokesperson, and to be the visionary body.
- Vice President - to assist the
President in all prescribed duties and to perform in a
leadership position.
- Treasurer - to properly handle
and report all moneys.
- Secretary - to assist in all
duties, handle administrative duties, and to head the
Membership Growth & Development committee.
- Board of Directors - to serve
on and head committees set forth by the executive boards
and to assist in administrative duties.
Section III.
The officers shall be elected by
the organization to serve a one-year term beginning in the
spring semester of each calendar year.

IV. |
Finances
Section I.
Moneys shall be provided to the
organization through SGA appropriations and club fundraisers.

Meetings
Section I.
The meeting requirements of the
organization shall be bi-monthly or according to the direction
of the executive officers each semester.

VI. |
Conduct
Section I.
The members of this organization
shall function in such a way that portrays professionalism and
compassion for the values of the College of Charleston.

VII. |
Amending the
Constitution and By-laws
Section I.
No article or section shall be
amended without and amendment hearing in which 2/3 of the
presiding body must be present and voting unanimously on the
matter.
Section II.
An amendment hearing may only be
called during the fall or spring semester of a calendar year.
Section III.
There is no such limit to the
number of amendment hearings allowed in one year.
