  4. Has directed three trilogies (the third still in its production stage)

Lars von Trier is an inspiration for filmmakers around the world. With his innovative, unique style and determination to break free from conventional filmmaking, he has renewed Danish cinema through his involvement in the Dogme 95 movement, and it can only remain to be seen what new revolutionary ideas will come from this great Dane.
